"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne

Definitely not a funny April Fools Day

Disclaimer: I am TERRIBLE at remembering important dates. That's one reason my anniversaries are all close to holidays. Hubs and I started dating six years ago today. I only remember because it's the day after April Fools. We were engaged on Valentines Day and we were married two days after Christmas. I can only pray my future babies will be born close to a holiday. However, this April Fools Day will not be soon forgotten.
Yesterday, Hubs, Pops, and brothers girlfriend were out and about. Went to the vet, lunch at cheddars with a bestie (LOVES me some Cheddar's), went to the mall, dinner at Olive Garden. Yes we have an eating-out problem. I was on my way home for the daily walk I promise! But life decided we needed an April Fools.
Hubs was driving home when a guy turns in front of us and we t-bone him. Chaos follows. Airbags deploy, seatbelts work their magic, and everyone leaves our smoking destroyed former car. Hubs calls 911 and help soon arrives. Hubs and pops go to er in an ambulance. I stay for the tow truck. Thank you to the besties for coming to my rescue to take me to the er. We all get checked out and nothing serious. This is one of many "Thank God's."
I can't believe no one got more than bruises and whiplash. The guy admitted running a red light but he was laughing about it and never asked if anyone else was ok. So glad it's an April Fools joke to you buddy. All I can say is my mom was definitely watching out for us and the car can be replaced. On the plus side, 5 hours in the er gives alot of time to read and I just bought some new books. Next bloggity as I recuperate on the couch: PCOS book reviews!
